Caring Matters provides social support and community education so that no one dies or grieves alone. CaringMatters envisions a community that accepts death as a part of life; where the processes of dying and grieving are embraced without stigma; everyone has access to support services without charge; and where no one dies or grieves without support.
The Arc Montgomery County connects people of all ages and abilities with their communities to build inclusive and fulfilling lives. Its respite program can provide short-term relief for a few hours, a day, a weekend, or sometimes longer. However, respite care is not a substitute for ongoing care or adult day care. It’s just a way to support families who take care of their loved ones at home. Families can choose from many respite care venues, including the family home, adult medical day programs, and approved respite facilities.
G.R.O.W.S. provides a platform for networking, education, and advocacy for senior service professionals. G.R.O.W.S. also promotes awareness and provides education regarding the unique needs of seniors, their families, and caregivers while at the same time providing the needed resources and support.
Aging Life Care™, also known as geriatric care management, is a holistic, client-centered approach to caring for older adults or others facing ongoing health challenges. Working with families, the expertise of Aging Life Care Professionals provides the answers at a time of uncertainty.
