Home Care in Montgomery County, MD

Families across Montgomery County have trusted Advanced Nursing & Home Care for over 30 years — for RN-supervised home care, private duty care, dementia support, skilled nursing, and 24-hour care designed to help loved ones stay safe, independent, and at home.

Founded by a son helping care for his grandmother through Alzheimer’s. Thirty years later, the team he built cared for his own parents.

Sam’s Story

Why We Started — And Why It Still Matters.

When Sam’s own parents needed care, they were cared for by the same team he had spent decades building.

Years earlier, while helping care for his grandmother through Alzheimer’s, Sam saw firsthand what quality care could mean for a family. He experienced the uncertainty, stress, and difficult decisions that many families face when a loved one needs support.

That experience inspired him to build Advanced Nursing & Home Care around a simple belief: families deserve experienced providers, clinical oversight, and people they can trust.

Decades later, when his own parents needed care, the team he built was there for them.

That’s not a marketing story. It’s what happened.

And it’s why we approach every family that calls us the way we’d want someone to approach ours.

Why RN Oversight Changes What Home Care Can Do.

Many home care agencies focus primarily on scheduling professional home care providers.

At Advanced Nursing & Home Care, care begins with a clinical understanding of your loved one’s situation and evolves as their needs change.

Because every client receives RN oversight, families have access to more than assistance with daily tasks. They gain a clinical partner who helps ensure care remains appropriate, coordinated, and responsive over time.

Call, and you’ll speak directly with a member of our care team — not a call center — who listens to what’s happening and what kind of help you’re looking for.

We assess your loved one’s medical needs, daily routine, and home safety. That’s what determines the right level of care — personal care, skilled nursing, or both.

Based on that plan, we match your loved one with a care provider or a licensed nurse suited to their specific needs and personality — never assigned at random.

Your care provider or nurse reviews the full care plan before their first visit, so nothing gets explained for the first time at your door.

Within 2–4 days of the first visit, our Client Satisfaction team checks in to confirm the care is the right fit and nothing has changed — then keeps checking in as needs do.

If your loved one’s needs change—a new diagnosis, a hospital stay, more hands-on help—your Staffing Coordinator adjusts the care plan rather than starting over.

If medication timing, fall risk, or keeping up with day-to-day changes is starting to feel like more than you can manage alone, we’re happy to talk it through — no pressure, just a conversation about what support could look like right now.
