Our Community Connections

Advanced Nursing & Home Care’s work doesn’t stop with the families we care for directly.

We stay connected to professional associations, community organizations, specialty care resources, and nonprofit groups that support older adults, caregivers, and families throughout Montgomery County, Maryland, and surrounding areas.

Some of these relationships help strengthen the care we provide through education and professional development. Others give families access to trusted resources outside our own services. All of them help us stay connected to the broader support network families may need as care becomes more complex.

Parkinson’s Foundation

Advanced Nursing & Home Care is the first Parkinson’s Foundation Community Partner in Parkinson’s Care in the state of Maryland.

Through the program, our team has access to specialized Parkinson’s education, training, and resources designed to help caregivers better understand medication timing, mobility, communication, and the day-to-day challenges of living with Parkinson’s disease.

For families, that means care informed by current Parkinson’s-specific best practices — delivered at home.

The Arc Montgomery County

Advanced Nursing & Home Care is proud to be a Consortium Member of The Arc Montgomery County’s Respite Coordination Program and one of the leading agencies providing respite services to families through the program.

We’ve been actively involved with The Arc and continue to participate in efforts to strengthen the program and make respite care easier for families to access and use.

For a family caring for someone at home, respite can mean a few hours to go to work, make an appointment, spend time with another child, handle everyday responsibilities, or simply rest. Sometimes, just knowing there is someone you trust who can step in makes an enormous difference.

Families shouldn’t have to figure all of this out on their own. Through our work with The Arc and other community organizations, we help families understand what support may be available and find care that fits their needs.

CaringMatters

Advanced Nursing & Home Care has a longstanding relationship with CaringMatters, an organization that supports individuals and families facing serious illness, end-of-life care, death, and grief.

Our involvement goes beyond financial support. Sam Lish serves on CaringMatters’ Board of Trustees, and Neil Pain serves on its Board of Directors. Advanced Nursing & Home Care is also a Diamond Sponsor of the organization’s annual Silver Linings Gala and supports its mission through annual charitable giving.

CaringMatters provides education, social support, and grief and end-of-life resources at no cost to community members. For families navigating serious illness or loss, having access to trusted guidance and support can make an incredibly difficult time feel a little less overwhelming.

We believe families deserve support not only with the practical needs of care, but with the emotional realities that often come with it. Our relationship with CaringMatters reflects that broader commitment to the families and communities we serve.
